The Belgian nuclear reactor Tihange 2 was shut down on 31.01.2023. The reactor has been controversial for a long time, as experts found many thousands of hairline cracks in the pressure vessel. INRAG has been instrumental in making expert knowledge available to the general public. For example, a public expert conference was organized together with the StädteRegion Aachen. In addition, INRAG authored a report on ageing nuclear power plants in general.
